Bassmaster Features Cumberland Pro in April 2012 Issue

We just got word that we were included in the Umbrella Rig Round Up on Page 42 of the April 2012 Issue of Bassmaster Magazine. Both our Castable U-Rig and our CURE were featured. Highlighting the fact that our rigs are made with the strongest wire of any of the umbrella rigs in the market. We never worry about our rig wires bending out of shape, breaking off on fish, or flexing too much and tangling our baits. We've had two and three big fish on the rig at a time and had no problem landing the fish.

Wow! Cumberland Pro Castable U-Rig at Work

So we got out and tested our castable umbrella rigs on some bass this weekend. We've long thrown these for stripers but with the advances in swimbaits and better rods and line, casting an umbrella rig is something we never thought of doing 5 or 10 years ago. We always just trolled with them.

We've been making the 9-inch U-Rig for more than 7 years now and let me tell you, we're just sick we didn't use it more fishing tournaments this year after today's test.
We hit Kentucky Lake today and had three bass weighing more than 6 pounds. Our best five today weighed 24 pounds all caught on our Cumberland Pro Castable U-Rig and 5 swimbaits on our 1/8 and 1/4 ounce swimbait heads.

We also lost two great big fish today that would have easily put us up near 30 pounds. Just absolutely incredible fishing when you consider that typically the fall has been some of the hardest fishing on the lake in previous years. Not anymore. Now we have a new tool for the bass that like to suspend.

Check out our Castable Umbrella Rigs in our store and get in on this action!

Devere follows son's lead.

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. – Last weekend, Mike Devere’s son Lucas won the BFL tournament held on the Barren River as a co-angler. Mike also fished that event, held on Father’s Day, as a boater. After receiving his check, Lucas told his dad it was his turn to go out and win a tournament. And six days later on Lake Guntersville, that’s exactly what the elder Devere did.

Mike was able to win the June 25, 2010 FLW Tour event held on Lake Guntersville after fishing two strong days with the Cumberland Pro Lures Foot Ball Head Jig. Mike used the Pumpkin 1/2 CPL FB jig.

This was Mikes first win and we are all very proud of his accomplishment here at Cumberland Pro Lures.

Devere wins with Pro Caster!

Lucas Devere wins the BFL tournament held on Barren River Lake June 19, 2010. Lucas used the Cumberland Pro Lures Pro Caster jig to best the field. This is the second win for the young Devere.
